Transition to Employment and Work Experience Program

The Ann Terry Society is currently providing a Transition to Employment and Work Experience Program for Women.  This 20 week program is designed to enhance self esteem and confidence while assisting unemployed women to identify a realistic employment goal and develop a plan of action to achieve that goal.  In addition to developing life skills that will enhance their marketable employment skills, including first aid, CPR, food handling, problem solving, conflict resolution, time management,  resume building, and job search and interview skills , participants complete a 12 week paid work experience opportunity with a local employer.  During work placements women gain marketable skills and valuable work experience and there is the potential for long term employment.  This program is funded by the Department of Community Services.
